Dec. 19

     1:13 p.m. – Police provided a public assist on Cedar St.

     2:32 p.m. – Police assisted the Jones County Sheriff’s Department at Highway 151 and Highway E-17.

     8:05 p.m. – Police responded to a traffic-related call at Kromminga Motors on Bus. Highway 151.

Sheriff Report

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Dec. 20 at 12:50 a.m. on Highway 151 south of Cascade. Devyn E. Koehl, 21, of Lakemoore, Ill., was driving a 2000 Ford Mustang when she hit a patch of ice, lost control, entered the median and flipped onto its top. Both Koehl and her passenger, Michael E. Pulley, 22, were taken by Cascade Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque for minor injuries. Koehl’s vehicles sustained approximately $10,000 in damages.

     Aaron Deverne Fuessley, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to driving while barred. A jury trial is set for March 7. Fuessley was also arrested for possession of contraband in a correctional institution. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 19.

     Karis Marie Keast, Anamosa, was charged with 3rd degree theft. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 28.

     Robert Lee Dolan, Mechanicsville, pleaded not guilty to sex offender residency violation 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for March 7.

     Rylee Wencil Lewis McNelley, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to reckless driving. He was fined $100 plus court costs.

     John Christopher Jacobson, Olin, pleaded guilty to failure to yield to emergency vehicle and driving while license under suspension. He was fined a total of $350 plus court costs.

     Cody Alan Ashley, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to no insurance. He was fined $250 plus court costs.

     Robbie Vincent Takes, Cedar Falls, pleaded guilty to open container passenger 21 or older. He was fined $200 plus court costs.

Dec. 11

     3:52 a.m. – Police assisted the Jones County Sheriff’s Department on Highway 151 at Bus. Highway 151.

     5:31 a.m. – Police responded to an assault-related call on the 100 block of W. Seventh St.

     3:30 p.m. – Police responded to a traffic-related call on Bus. Highway 151 at the Highway 151 overpass.

Sheriff's Report

     A one-vehicle accident took place on Dec. 10 at 8:16 p.m. Larry Michael Holub, 45, of Coggon, was driving a 2006 Ford F250 on County Road D-62 when he lost control. The road was covered with snow, causing Holub’s vehicle to cross the roadway as he entered the ditch. His vehicle then struck a tree on private property.  According to the accident report, Holub was driving too fast for the road conditions. The report also states that Holub left the scene of the accident and did not report the accident to law enforcement.

     Rachel Lynn McDermott, Dubuque, pleaded guilty to OWI. She was fined $1,250 plus court costs, and sentenced to two days in jail.

     William Charles Burton, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to carrying weapons and OWI 1st offense. He was ordered to pay civil penalties totally $1,875 plus court costs.

     Gauge Leon Linne, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to sex offender residency violation 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Feb. 7.

     Michael James Richards, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to no seatbelt. He was fined $57.50 plus court costs.

     Spencer Thomas Hinrichsen, Anamosa, was found guilty of speeding. He was fined $40 plus court costs.

     Brooke Desiree Mull, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to no insurance. She was fined $150 plus court costs.

     Miranda Jean Klenk, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to speeding. She was fined $140 plus court costs.

     Humberto Padilla Varela, Monticello, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined $20 plus court costs.
