• Sarah Beth McMurran, of Monticello, was adjudicated to be guilty to a charge of forgery. McMurran received a five-year suspended prison sentence and was placed on two years of supervised probation and was given credit for two years of probation. McMurran was fined $1,025 plus court costs.
• John Randall Maher, of Mount Vernon, was arrested Sept. 3 on charges of driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt.
