   Jamie Lee Bickford, Hopkinton, was charged with driving while barred-habitual offender. An arraignment was set for Jan. 27.

   Charles James Ellison, Monticello, was charged with two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. An arraignment was set for Jan. 27.

   Timothy Paul Foster, Monticello, was charged with gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used-other than marijuana and maintaining a drug house, vehicle, etc. An arraignment is set for Feb. 3.

   Barinder Singh, Lathrop, Calif., pleaded guilty to the amended charge of speeding. He was fined $55 plus court costs.

   Michelle Nicole Alber, marion, pleaded guilty to speeding and driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled, revoked. She was fined a total of $305 plus court costs.

   Makayla Maylynn Branch, Cedar Rapids, was found guilty of driving while license suspended. She was fined $250 plus court costs.

   Austin Gilbert Wernimont, Cedar Rapids, was charged with domestic abuse assault-strangulation. An arraignment is set for Jan. 27.

   Andrew Christian Green, Anamosa, was charged with 3rd degree theft. No court date was set.

   9:37 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm in the 800 block of N. Cedar St.

   12:37 a.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 151 northbound, north of 150th St.

Sheriff’s Report

     A single-vehicle accident took place on Jan. 14 at 12:37 a.m. on Highway 151 North. Ralph Mathias Weber, 75, of Montrose, S.D., was driving a 1997 Kenworth Semi when he passed out. The semi exited the roadway into the median. It re-entered the roadway and came to rest on the east side of the highway. Weber sustained possible injuries. Damage to the semi was estimated at $4,000.
