   Hannah Willette Loterbauer, Manchester, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of trespassing. She was fined $260 plus court costs.

   Nicholas Scott Seeley, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possession of controlled substance, third offense. He was sentenced to five years in prison. The sentence was suspended, and he was placed on supervised probation for three years and fined $1,025. A second charge of possession of controlled substance, and a charge of unlawful possession of prescription drug, were dismissed.

Magistrate Court

   Tammy L. Clark and Luvern L. Clark, Oxford Junction, were found in default, for violating the City of Oxford Junction Code of Ordinances pertaining to condition of their property. They were ordered to pay a civil penalty of $750 plus court costs.

   Kaylee Marie Desotel, Monticello, was cited for cat at large. A May 21 court date was set.

   A two-vehicle accident took place on April 26 at 10:01 a.m. on Highway 64 in Wyoming. Teresa Lynn Shoaff, 64, of Wyoming was driving a 2007 Ford Edge westbound on E. Main St., slowed to turn North onto Jefferson St., when a vehicle driven by Drake William Barchman, 18 of Oxford Junction, driving a 2008 Ford Focus, struck the rear of Shoaff’s vehicle. Barchman was ruled at fault. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $1,500 to Shoaff’s vehicle, and $2,000 to Barchman’s vehicle. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.

   Eric Alex Taylor, Monticello, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 3rd offense and driving while barred. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined $855 plus court costs.

   Elizabeth Topping, Anamosa, was charged with two counts of animal neglect with injury. An arraignment is set for May 19.

   Carl James Nagel, Monona, was charged with driving while barred-habitual offender. An arraignment is set for May 19.

   Shane Stephen Harness, Hiawatha, pleaded guilty to operation without registration card/plate and no valid commercial driver’s license. He was fined a total of $330 plus court costs.

   Shanette Amber Adams, Bernard, pleaded not guilty to speeding. A non-jury trial was set for April 30.

   Susan Jean Belanger, Anamosa, was found guilty of failure to maintain control. She was fined $135 plus court costs.

Sheriff’s Report

     A two-vehicle accident took place on April 19 at 11:30 a.m. on County Home Road E-23. Tierra Marie Knapper, 43, of Anamosa was driving a 2014 Dodge Caravan west of County Road E-34 when she failed to stop in time for a vehicle turning into traffic. Knapper struck the trailer being pulled by Paul Allen Lietz, 57, of Baldwin, who was driving a 2005 Ford Escape. Knapper’s vehicle lost control and entered the right ditch. Both drivers were uninjured. Damage to Lietz’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, with $2,000 in damages to Knapper’s vehicle.
