   Ruth Abigail Casquez Carranza, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to speeding. A non-jury trial is set for Jan. 15.

   Kylee Jo Schmalfeldt, Monmouth, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. No court date is set.

   3:06 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm in the 800 block of E. Oak St.

   8:18 a.m. – Police assisted a motorist near County Road E-16 and S. Main St.

   11:08 a.m. – Police assisted the public at the Public Safety Building.

     A two-vehicle accident took place on Nov. 30 at 11:15 a.m. on Walnut Street. Joshua Jerry Vonsprecken, 38, of Anamosa was driving a 2010 Chevy K1500 Suburban traveling east on Main Street. David Christopher Flores, 21, of Wyoming was driving a 2005 Kia Optima when he failed to come to a stop at a stop sign on Walnut Street. Flores entered the intersection and struck Vonsprecken’s vehicle on the driver’s side, causing significant damage. Both drivers were uninjured. Damage to Vonsprecken’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, with $5,500 in damages to Flores’s vehicle.

   Averianna Jeanette Marie Drew, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to possessing/purchasing alcohol by person 18-19-20. She was fined $260 plus court costs.

   Alisin Marie Scofield, Martelle, had a charge of disorderly conduct-fighting/violent behavior, dismissed. She pleaded guilty to domestic abuse 1st offense and contempt-violation of no-contact/protective order. She was sentenced to a total of 20 days in jail, and fined court costs.

   Levi Allen Miller, Anamosa, was charged with driving while barred-habitual offender. An arraignment is set for Dec. 16.
