   Hunter Lee Reinier, Monticello, was charged with 3rd degree burglary and two counts of operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent. An arraignment is set for March 24.

   Matthew Brian Flannery, Dubuque, was charged with domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. No court date was set.

   Mark Carl Vasey, Maquoketa, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined $210 plus court costs.

   Ryan Gerald Bratten, Monticello, was cited for dog running at large. A court date is set for March 26.

   Luvern L. and Tammy L. Clark, Oxford Junction, were found in violation of Oxford Junction Municipal Code of Ordinances. A court date is set for March 26.

   Herbert and Kathleen Oberbroeckling, Wyoming, were found in violation of Oxford Junction Municipal Code of Ordinances. A court date is set for March 26.

   8:09 a.m. – Police responded to a parking complaint in the 100 block of S. Cedar St.

   2:24 p.m. – Police assisted the public in the 300 block of N. Chestnut St.

   4:25 p.m. – Police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Arminda Ave.

Sheriff’s Report

     A car versus deer accident took place on March 10 at 6:13 a.m. on 20th Avenue. Eric Lee Elkanich, 55, of Anamosa was driving a 2024 Ford Transit Connect when he encountered a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to Elkanich’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000.

   Kelly Renee Cornett, Monticello, was charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief. No court date was set.

   Jeffrey Alan Urbanek, Monticello, pleaded guilty to contempt of court for violating terms/conditions of probation. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined court costs. He also pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of driving while license denied/revoked. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined court costs. Urbanek was charged with OWI 2nd offense. No court date was set.

   Steven Ray Lannom, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to no seatbelt. He was fined $70 plus court costs.

   Luke Thomas Bassett, Olin, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no valid driver’s license. He was fined $260 plus court costs.

   Cherrise A. Brown, Des Moines, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no valid driver’s license. She was fined $250 plus court costs.

   Akpado Salomon Chabi, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled, revoked. He was fined $260 plus court costs.

   8:59 a.m. – Police responded to a report about a suspicious person/vehicle in the 800 block of E. Oak St.

   9:35 a.m. – Police received a report of a scam.

   6:54 p.m. – Police assisted the public at the Public Safety Building.
