There were no breaks to start the season for the Monticello High School boys basketball game; the Panthers faced a tough foe in the very first game.
The Panthers had four players score in double figures, and took the lead in the second half after trailing for most of the first, on the way to a 50-44 win Nov. 30 at Bellevue.
It was the first of a two-game week for the Panthers, who also rolled to a 76-35 win at North Cedar Friday. Both games were against River Valley Conference North Division opponents.
