It’s a learning process for the Monticello boys soccer team, as it tries to not only pick up pointers from its opponents but also determining when to focus on offense or defense.
The Panthers’ development continued in a pair of matches last week, a 6-1 loss at Mid-Prairie April 10, and an 8-0 defeat at Clinton Prince of Peace April 13.
“We moved some players around to shore up our defense,” Monticello coach Todd Norton said. “However, when you play more defensively, you limit how much your offense can do.
