Scotch Grove Challengers

     The January meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was called to order by President Lilly Stoll at 6 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2021, at Monticello City Hall.

     The roll call topic was, “What is your New Year Resolution?” Twelve members, five visitors and three leaders were present. Sydney Sparks led the Pledge to the American flag.

     Aedan Althoff gave the Secretary’s Report. Ryker Hein made the motion to approve the Secretary’s Report seconded by Steven Bader. Motion carried. Paige Rickels gave the Treasurer’s Report, Ryker Hein made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Steven Bader. Motion carried.

     Old Business: The club discussed the fundraiser at the Monticello School Foundation Tailgate on March 5 at 7 p.m.

     New Business: The club received an update on the t-shirt design change. The 4-H Awards Day will take place on Jan. 9 at 11:30 a.m. The Holiday Bale Committee gave an update. The club was told to join the new band app. The club wrote a thank-you to the Jones County Cattlemen for their donation to the Beef Weigh-in. The 4-H scholarship application is due on March 1. The club was told to enroll at 4-H online. The club discussed fundraising ideas.

     Royce Kiburz made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ryker Hein, motion carried. The Pledge to the 4-H Flag was led by Trace Simonson. The meeting ended at 6:40 p.m.
