Oxford Happy Hustlers

February meeting

     The regular meeting of the Oxford Happy Hustlers was held on Feb. 4, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Lillian Strait was host.

     Meeting was called to order by president Nicole Guenther. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Morgan Strait. Roll Call was: “Describe a valentine you have made.” Three members and two guests were present. Secretary’s report was given by Lillian Strait. Treasurer’s report was given by Morgan Strait. There were no bills. There were no committee reports.

     Old business included t-shirts, trip/tour, and officer book.

     New business included discussion on upcoming 4-H events, 4-H basketball is now on March 3rd, and fair booth ideas.

     Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Lillian Strait, seconded by Morgan Strait. The 4-H pledge was led by Lillian Strait.

     Presentations: Nicole Guenther about her cat “Letty,” and Morgan Strait on laundry tips.

     The next meeting will be March 3, 2 p.m. at Monticello High School after basketball.

Olin 4-H Club

     The Olin 4H Club held its monthly meeting on Feb. 4, 2018. Fair booth and fundraising committees met and started getting ideas for these events. Different activities like the Polar Plunge, Vet School, On Their Own and OK, and Legislative trip were discussed and information given for those who would like to participate.

     A presentation was given by Dawson Hirl on “How to Give a Good Presentation.” Next meeting will be Sunday, March 4 at 5 p.m. at the Olin Legion Hall.
