Oxford Happy Hustlers

     The regular meeting of the Oxford Happy Hustlers was held on March 4, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Connie Burhop’s house. Each member was to bring a snack to share.

     Meeting was called to order by President Nicole Guenther. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Morgan Strait. Roll Call was, “What is your mom’s best quality?” All members answered. Four members and one guest were present. Secretary’s report was given by Lillian Strait. Treasurer’s report was given by Morgan Strait. There were no bills. Committee reports were on valentines and 4-H basketball.

     Old business – 4-H booth ideas, trip/tour (meet in Wyoming at 11 a.m. on April 8 for tour).

     New business – Horticulture classes, Pinterest, new website, May 12th is Communications Day; Share the Fun, and Clothing Day.

     Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Morgan Strait, seconded by Alexis Payne. The 4-H pledge was led by Alexis Payne.

     The next meeting will be April 8 after the tour.

Olin 4-H Club

     The Olin 4H Club held its monthly meeting on March 4, 2018. Fair booth and fundraising committees met, and a fair booth theme and a fundraiser was decided on.

     Discussion was held on the 4-H Intermediate trip, which is April 21-22. Discussion was also held on the upcoming communication event on May 12 and the working exhibit on July 17. It was decided to help the Olin Fire Dept. with its annual breakfast and host a bake sale there.

     Presentations were given by Adam Hirl on how to make a marshmallow launcher, Drew Uthoff on Thomas Edison, and Rheagyn Uthoff on wolves. Next meeting will be Sunday, April 8 at the Olin Legion Hall.
