Prairie Hill

     The regular meeting of the Prairie Hill 4-H Club was held at the Citizens State Bank Youth Development Center on March 12, 2018. The meeting was called to order by Caleb Hogan at 6:19 pm. Roll call was: What is your favorite hobby? It was answered by 25 members with eight visitors present. Minutes of the previous meeting were not read. The treasurer’s report was given. Motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Lake Schnoor and seconded by Eian Weber. Motion to approve the bills was made by Brianna Burmahl and seconded by Claire Hogan. Leader’s update was given by Joanne Timm, welcoming Tred Schnoor and Nicole Moetschen as new leaders to our club. Update was given for poultry workshop, YSQA, and vet certificate requirement for horses.

     Old business: The club discussed 4-H basketball, Winter Plunge Junior Retreat, Prairie Hill dues, and Rope Halter Horse Clinic rescheduled to March 25 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

     New business: The club discussed swine weigh in March 24, Clothing and Communication signup due April 20, clothing and communication event day May 12, 4-H online animal ID deadline May 15.  ISU Campus trip is April 11, 4-H Intermediate trip is April 21. Riverside Garden will be decided at the April meeting. The fair flower pot will be led by Lilly Moetschen, Lake Schnoor, Taylor Gassmann and Mace Schnoor.

     Hosting the meeting and giving presentations were Lane Weber, Kole Weber, Eian Weber, Brianna Burmahl, Taylor Gassman, Grant Gassman and Larissa Saunders.

     The next meeting of the Prairie Hill 4-H Club will be on April 16 at 6:15 pm. Hosting in April and giving presentations are Chloe Gray, Sophie Gray, Caleb Hogan, Adele Hogan, Claire Hogan and Kyle Arduser.  Roll call will be: What is your favorite TV show? Presentations will be given by Taylor Gassman, Grant Gassman, Larissa Saunders, Kole Weber, Lane Weber, and Eian Weber.

     Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Dawson Ricklefs, seconded by Taylor Gassman. The Pledge to the 4-H Flag was led by Adele Hogan. A recreational activity with snacks and drinks followed the meeting.
