Scotch Grove Challengers

     The regular meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was held at the Monticello Renaissance Center in Monticello on July 1, 2018.

     Vice President Kristen Roher called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.  Twenty-one members answered the roll call topic, “Name one of your 4-H exhibits/projects.” Twelve guests were present. Lilly Stoll led the Pledge of Allegiance.

     Activity Coordinator Joseph Schrader read the secretary’s report. There were no additions or corrections. Autry Fasnacht made the motion to approve the secretary’s report and Steven Bader seconded. Motion carried. Ashlynn Sparks provided the treasurer’s report. Autry Fasnacht made the motion to approve the treasurer’s report and Davin Wickman seconded. Motion carried.

     Old business: FAST exhibit judging will be July 16 at 9:45 a.m. Working exhibits will be held on July 17. T-shirts are ready to be picked up at Monticello Sports.

     Food Stand shifts were reviewed. Members were reminded that they should wear their 4-H shirts and either a baseball cap or hair net. Table setting challenge will be on July 17 at 4 p.m.

     New business: The dress code was reviewed and is required when exhibiting any project during the fair. Must wear slacks or nice jeans and 4-H t-shirt or a white shirt with 4H emblem. No open-toed shoes; no shorts. Kristen Roher read the thank-yous received from the Extension Office/Blue Ribbon Fund. There will be a Chore Challenge held on Saturday in the Equine building and members were encouraged to attend. The amount of club dues from members were discussed and if paid, fair passes were distributed.

     Royce Kiburz made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ashlynn Sparks. Ashlynn Sparks led the Pledge to the 4-H Flag. The meeting ended at 6:41 p.m.
