Scotch Grove Challengers

     The April meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was called to order by President Lilly Stoll. The roll call topic, “What is your favorite food?” was answered by 18 members. Nine visitors and four leaders were present. Alyssa Wickman led the Pledge to the American Flag.

     Aedan Althoff gave the Secretary’s Report. Davin Wickman made the motion to approve the Secretary’s Report seconded by Kinzi Schlarmann, motion carried. Paige Rickels gave the Treasurer’s Report. Royce Kiburz made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Reagan Stoll. Motion carried. The club hosted Joe Yedlik, a master gardener, who gave a presentation on horticulture projects.

     Old Business: The club was reminded to enroll in 4-H. The club was reminded to sign up for the band app. The club was also given awards for years in 4-H.

     New Business: The club discussed hosting the meetings. April was the Wickman family; May will be the Schlarmann family. Upcoming camps and trips were discussed. The Sheep and Goat Weigh-In takes place on April 30 at 8:30 a.m. There will be a horticulture meeting April 26 at 6:30 p.m. The club discussed the auction changes at the 2022 fair. The club discussed the family farm tour that will take place in June. The club discussed photos for the fair booth. The club also discussed forming a planning committee for the fair booth. The committee will include Kinzi Schlarmann, Lilly Stoll, Haili Schlarmann and Nick Schlarmann. The club received a t-shirt design update; it was approved and the club will be looking at prices.      The club had presentations from Nick Schlarmann, Alyssa Wickman, Davin Wickman and Paige Rickels.

     Davin Wickmann made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Sydney Sparks. The Pledge to the 4-H Flag was led by Haili Schlarmann. The meeting ended at 6:40 p.m.
