Olin 4-H Club

     The Olin 4-H Club held its monthly meeting on Oct. 7, 2018.

     The installation of officers for the 2018-19 4-H year was held. Information and signup sheet was given for 4-H volleyball being held at the Monticello Middle School Nov. 3. National 4H Week is October 7-13. Challenges for the week were discussed. Information was given on the On Their Own Way Camp, which is for Junior members being held on Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Extension office.  Jones County 4-H Awards Day is Nov. 4 at the Extension office from 12:30 to 3 p.m. We will vote at our next meeting on our yearly HACAP Adopt-a-Family. Members were encouraged to think about this and know what they wanted to do before the vote next meeting. Reminders were given on members needing to enroll online for the new 4-H year.

     A presentation was given by Curtis Lyon on how to make Garbage Bag Snack Mix.  Our next meeting will be Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Olin Legion.
