Scotch Grove Challengers

     The meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was held at the Monticello Renaissance Center in Monticello on May 5, 2019. 

 

     President Kristen Roher called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. Seventeen members answered the roll call topic, “How many 4H projects do you have ready or are working on?” Thirteen guests were present. Rylee Sanders-Flemming led the Pledge of Allegiance. Leader Sally Hinrichsen provided the Treasurer’s Report. Gavin Cooper made the motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report and Aedan Althoff seconded. Motion carried. 

 

    New business: 4H County Council Project Fair is May 8. New members are encouraged to attend. The County 4H Barn Quilt square is due June 1. Members were reminded to sign up for all project areas and to be sure animal IDs are entered Prior to May 15. Club Table setting theme is “To the Moon and Back.” Members are needed to do the table setting. Working Exhibit forms are due July 1. Rylee Sanders-Flemming moved to donate $100 to the 4Hers for 4H campaign; Gavin Cooper seconded. Motion carried. Leaders reviewed the date of upcoming workshops, as listed on the agenda. Rylee Sanders-Flemming moved to donate $50 to the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bunks Across America; Tom Dirks seconded. Motion carried. 

 

     Aedan Althoff did a presentation on how to string a bow. Haili Schlarmann did a presentation on equipment needs for a softball catcher. Keziah McQuillen did a presentation on how to make s’mores. 

 

     Tyler Soppe made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Will Wolken. Motion carried. Keziah McQuillen led the pledge to the 4-H flag.
