Olin 4-H Club

The Olin 4H Club held its monthly meeting on Jan. 5, 2020. We held our Christmas party and had pizza as well as a white elephant gift exchange. We decorated cookies to give to homebound senior citizens. No committees met because of the party. It was voted on and passed to make donations to the Olin Food Pantry and Animal Welfare in Monticello.

Reminders were given on the Beef Project Workshop on Jan. 28, the Winter Plunge on Feb. 1 and 2 at Camp Grace, FAST Project workshop on Feb. 17, Legislative trip to Des Moines on Feb. 19, 4-H and Friends Lock-In on Feb. 28 to 29, Internship opening at the Extension office – deadline is March 9; and 4-H Scholarships open Jan. 31.

Presentations were given by Nick Lehrman on Oreo Dessert and Eli Lehrman on Holiday Peppermint Bark. Next meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. at the Olin Legion Hall.
