Scotch Grove Challengers

     The July meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was called to order by Vice President Katie Roher, at 6 p.m. on July 12, 2020, at the Monticello Renaissance Center.

     Roll call topic: Share something fun you did in the last couple of months. Eight members, eight visitors, and one leader were present. The Pledge to the American Flag was led by Steven Bader.

     Aedan Althoff gave the Secretary’s Report. Will Wolken made the motion to approve the Secretary’s Report, seconded by Steven Bader, motion carried. Kacie Rickels gave the Treasurer’s Report. Steven Bader made the motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Will Wolken, motion carried.

     Old business: Reminder to pick up club T-shirts.

     New Business: The club discussed fair entry and parking, the fair book, animal stalling, and PPE for the fair. The fair livestock shows will be show and go. The FAST dropoff days are July 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Clothing and the Working Exhibits judging is on Tuesday, July 21. Educational Presentations and Extemporaneous Speaking will be judged July 23. Horticulture judging is July 25. Katie Roher made a motion to sponsor the Poultry Trophy, seconded by Aedan Althoff. Will Wolken made the motion to pay the club dues, seconded by Steven Bader; the price was $690.

     Royce Kiburz made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Will Wolken, motion carried. The Pledge to the 4-H Flag was led by Kacie Rickels. and the meeting ended at 6:25 p.m.
