Accident results in fatality

A woman from Anamosa was involved in a fatal one-vehicle accident on Dec. 16 at 8:26 p.m. 

Mary Ann Feltes, 86, was driving a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan southbound on Highway 151 near mile marker 63. Feltes left the roadway to the right, traveled through the ditch, and crossed Amber Road/X-44. Her vehicle came to rest in the ditch near the intersection of Amber Road/X-44 and the Highway 151 southbound ramp. 

Feltes was transported by the Monticello Ambulance Service to Jones Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. 

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Monticello Police Department, Jones County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire Department, and Monticello Ambulance Service.
