Allen Husmann Oct. 23, 1942 – July 20, 2024

      Allen Husmann, 81, died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

    He was born Oct. 23, 1942, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Jack and Anna Otten Husmann.

    Survivors include Cindy (Scott) Lightner; Mike (Cathy) Husmann; four grandchildren, Ethan, Cole, Peyton and Morgan; and five great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and his eight siblings.

    Allen worked as a hired hand farming for the Lorenzen Bros. in Olin. He then worked for Farm Service and Walters Lumber.

    Allen enjoyed fishing, mowing lawns, the Cubs, and watching NASCAR and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.

    Allen is being cremated. There will be no services.
