Almost Famous attends Hall of Fame Competition

     The Almost Famous Dance Competition Team attended the Hall of Fame Dance Competition March 30-April 2 in Des Moines. The team received numerous overall awards, as well as some judges choice awards.

     Results follow.

     In the Junior Division: Alexis Gaspie, eighth place. In the Intermediate Teen Solo Division: Leah Smith, ninth Place. Megan Smith, Samantha Recker and Kaitlin Guyer, tied for eighth place. Emily Bonert, sixth place. Lilli Wessels, third place.

     In the Teen Duo/Trio Division: Allie Riches and Leah Smith, third place. In the Senior Elite Solo Division: Melissa Davis, 12th place. Taylor Fishnick, 11th place. In the Future Hall of Famer Duet/Trio Division: Kyla Ramler and Sadie Erion, fifth place. In the Intermediate Teen Small Group Division: “Home,” second place. “Unsteady,” first place.

     In the Intermediate Senior Small Group Division: “Body Language,” second place. “Rivers and Roads,” first place. In the Senior Elite Large Group Division: “Right On,” eighth place. “Rising Water,” seventh place. In the Future Hall of Famer Small Group Division: “Splish Splash,” 10th place.

     In the Intermediate Junior Large Group Division: “God Bless America,” fifth place. “Fire,” third place. “Bugle Boy,” second place. “Fergalicious,” first place. In the Teen Elite Solo Division: Leah Krantz, 12th place. Brady Theisen, 11th place.

     Almost Famous Dance Studio is under the direction of Amanda Hackney and Melissa Ehrisman. Assisting teachers are Andrea Davis and Kaitlyn Tuel. Registrations are being accepted for its 2017-2018 season.
