Almost Famous goes to Tribute competition

     The Almost Famous competition dance team took part in the Tribute National Talent Dance Competition Jan. 18-20 at the Adler Theatre in Davenport.

     Results are as follows:

     Iowa-Grown Production, Supreme rating and first overall. Highest score of the weekend for all Honor Level routines.

     Mini Team: Jazz, first place rating, tied for first in category, and ninth overall.

     Junior Team: Contemporary, Elite rating and third overall. Lyrical, Elite rating and second overall. Jazz, Elite Rating, first overall, and Choreography Award. I’ll Be There For You Trio, fourth overall. Hurt Somebody Duo first overall. Sadie Erion third overall, Costume Award. Kyla Ramler, seventh overall.

     Teen Team: Lyrical, Elite rating, second overall. Jazz, Elite rating, third overall. Musical Theatre, Elite rating, first overall. Hiding My Heart (Supreme level), Elite rating. Another One Bites the Dust Duo (Supreme level), seventh overall. Leah Smith, ninth overall. Madison Ward, eighth overall. Kendra Davis, seventh overall, Miss Tribute Award. Sammy Recker, fourth overall.

     Senior Team: Jazz, Supreme Rating, first in Cat, second Overall, Choreography Award, and Judges Choice for Honor Level.

Jazz (Supreme level) Supreme rating and sixth overall. Lyrical (Supreme level), Elite rating and third overall. Contemporary (Supreme level), Elite rating, second in category. Open (Supreme level), Elite rating, first in category and ninth overall. Brady Theisen, Costume Award. Ally Bartachek second overall, Miss Tribute Award. Sydney Freeze, sixth overall. Haley Hansen, seventh overall

     “We are so proud of each and every one of our kiddos,” said Amanda Hackney, who  coaches the team along with Melissa Ehrisman, and the help from Andrea Davis and Kaitlyn Hunt.
