Amber house fire

On Jan. 14 at around 2:15 p.m., the Monticello Fire Department was called to provide mutual aid to the Anamosa Fire Department at a structure fire at 13007 County Road X-44 in Amber, across the street from Lasso E RV. The home was engulfed in flames. The Jones County Sheriff’s Office and Anamosa Ambulance was also on scene. No report of injuries as of press time. (Photo by Mark Spensley)
