Andy McKean puts people before politics

To the Editor,
Iowans are tired of politics. We want the election to be over. We are tired of the drama. But mostly, Iowans want someone to represent their interests. Well – have I got the candidate for you.
One of the candidates for the Iowa House District 66 seat, which includes most of Jackson and all of Jones Counties, has served as both an Iowa State Senator and an Iowa State Representative, as well as a Jones County Supervisor. He’s a man of integrity and public spirit. He is fair and honest, and will listen to your concerns. He’s knocked on thousands of doors during this campaign, having conversations with Jackson and Jones County residents, and he still takes time to support his community, honor is heritage, and sing a song or two with old friends.
He believes that Iowans should have quality public education, affordable childcare, that mental health services and women’s healthcare services should be readily available, that our family farms should be preserved, and our natural resources protected. Iowans want a candidate who is willing to defend his stance on issues, and listen to and possibly learn from the points of view of others.
That candidate is Andy McKean. Andy has the integrity and courage to put Iowans before politics. I’m voting for Andy McKean on Nov. 5. I hope you will, too.
