Are those elected by us representing us?

Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

As children, many of us occasionally believe we are something we are not. Most do not carry this into adulthood, replacing the earlier fantasy with feelings “if I had MY way, I would…”

   Unfortunately, some do.

Consider what would happen if an adult person came to believe himself to be the embodiment of the anti-Christ as described in the Book of Reactivation. That person would consistently attempt to deceive every one of the motives behind his behavior. Perhaps the false belief of invincibility would result inadvertently exposing himself.

Believing in his own great power, he might stand outside a Christian Church and be videotaped holding the Holy Bible upside down.

Having a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania (a private, Ivy League college), he might attempt to crash the economy of many Christian nations. To further his goal, he might join with a fellow university alumnus to distract us all from his current objective. That fellow alumnus could be a man known for his record employing low orbit earth satellites to facilitate inexpensive data transfer, build automobiles, and provide transportation to and from space.

Working in tandem, they might together displace workers at agencies we depend upon while striving to create anger at those agencies. They might blame problems we each face on individuals or groups of individuals they don’t like. They might work to control the media, including the press. They may work to destroy much of the legal system, including both courts and law firms. These are but a few of the things that might happen.

Perhaps most observers of such activities will focus on them as unrelated to each other. But what if the overarching objective is to destroy us all? Distractions may be used to quietly propel legislation through the Congress to make it impossible to fund government as we know it. How about promising to lower taxes through a budget reconciliation specifying an amount to be cut with no hint as to which programs to cut? And, in this promotion dictating no floor discussion on tariffs shall be permitted for 90 days?

Are those elected by us representing us?

   Am I crazy? Are you?
