Are you better off now than you were four years ago?

Letter to the Editor

To the Editor,

Well, here we go again. The closer we get to election time, and the less the Democrats have to brag about with their failed policies, the more lies they tell about Republican candidates. A good example is Christina Bohannan and her surrogates lying about Representative Miller-Meeks’ stand on abortion. They KNOW that Representative Miller-Meeks believes in exceptions to the ban on abortion for rape, incest, and the health of the mother. And why does Andy McKean think Congressman (Iowa State Representative) Bradley’s stance is extreme when he believes in saving the life of the unborn except for the same exceptions. Evidently, McKean thinks it is ok to end a baby’s life. He did vote against the “baby bill.”

There should be laws against false political ads, and newspapers and broadcasters have an obligation to their public to disallow false ads that try to impact elections.

Too bad the Democrats don’t have enough positive things to brag about. If they did, maybe they wouldn’t have to resort to so many dishonest ads and we would all be better off for so many reasons…

If there was ever a time that you really need to VOTE, this is it. Before you vote, ask yourself, “Am I better off now than I was four years ago when President Trump was in office—do I really think Kamala could handle world III????” If you answer those questions truthfully, there is only one person you can vote for to lead this country.

(Editor’s Note: This letter-writer referred to Rep. Steve Bradley as “Congressman.” You’ll see in parentheses that we corrected the letter-writer with Bradley’s actual title of office so as not to confuse anyone.)
