The Third Annual Austin’s Halloween Fun Night was held at the Berndes Center on Oct. 26. A costume contest was held that evening, with guest judges Monticello Police Officer Erik Honda, Monticello Firefighter Nick Kahler, and Ambulance Director Dawn Brus. Here, Kahler and entertainer Toby “Kid” present a kid’s bike to second-place finisher Elora Rance. The top four included: Beckett Dietz, first place; Rance, second; Roman Yager, third; and Tyler Soppe, fourth. (Photos by Kim Brooks)
Brothers Mason and Noah Brus of Martelle showed their support for public officials, dressed as a police officer and firefighter.
So many volunteers helped to make Austin’s Halloween Fun Night a successful event. The meal was provided by Sally’s on Broadway in Springville. Sally’s served many of Austin Smith’s favorite menu items.
Austin’s Halloween Fun Night featured bounces houses, food, balloon animals, and family-friendly entertainment. Blakeleigh Light of Anamosa also got her face painted.
