Area car enthusiasts won a swath of trophies over the weekend at the 57th annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Rod & Custom Show. 

The event took place on both Saturday and Sunday and stuffed the Berndes Center with motorcycles, hot rods, race cars, custom builds and classics. 

The event was presented by KCRG TV9, and the show featured entries from eight different states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin and Ohio. 

The winners of the event were: 

Rod Category -- 1st: Steve Goulden, of Springfield, Illinois, 1941 Wills Coupe; 2nd: Mart Wilts, of Marshalltown, 1934 Ford Coupe; 3rd: Dave Morgan, Davien, Illinois, 1932 Ford Roadster; 4th: Ed Richards, of Ottumwa, 1936 Plymouth Coupe.

Custom Category -- 1st: Tom Landweher, Jefferson City, Missouri, 1956 Chevy sedan; 2nd: Tamara Houseman, Geneseo, Illinois, 1956 Chevy Nomad; 3rd: John Ely, Cedar Rapids, 1944 Chevy hardtop; 4th: Stan Hoogland, Granville, 1961 Chevy Nomad,

Machine Category -- 1st: Chad Rennecker, Barry, Illinois, 1969 Dodge Charger; 2nd: Kevin Davis, Anamosa, 1968 Chevy Camaro; 3rd: Barry Roberts, Albert Lea, Minnesota, 2020 Dodge Challenger; 4th: Mark Volkens, Gladbrook, 1969 Chevy Impala.

Pickup Category -- 1st: Rick Marvin, Greenfield, Indiana, 1934 Ford pickup; 2nd: Craig Fawcett, Oskaloosa, 1960 Ford pickup; 3rd: Ben Rehak, North Branch, Minnesota, 1951 Chevy pickup; 4th: Gary Barnes, Central City, 1954 Chevy pickup.
