BOYS BASKETBALL

     Monticello High School closed out the 2017-18 boys basketball season with its annual award banquet April 28 in the MHS Commons.

     The Panthers finished 7-10 in the River Valley Conference, and 10-11 overall.

     A list of awards presented follows.

 

TEAM AWARDS

     Most Valuable: Alex Nealson, senior.

     Top Defensive Player: Alex Nealson, senior.

     Most Improved: Tyler Luensman, freshman.

ALL-CONFERENCE

     North Division team: Alex Nealson, senior; Justin Recker, freshman.

     Honorable mention: Kyle Sperfslage, senior.

ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE

     Jacob Manternach, Ryan Manternach, Alex Nealson and Kyle Sperfslage, seniors; Gavin Cooper and Daltyn Kramer, juniors; Ty Kehoe, Luke Lambert, Tyler Luensman and Justin Recker, freshmen.
