Banquet ends strong season
It was a shortened season, but in many ways a successful one for the Monticello High School baseball team.
The Panthers held their awards ceremony Aug. 3 in the MHS Commons, honoring players for their achievements.
Monticello finished 7-8 under head coach Kolby Harms, playing an abbreviated schedule affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Panthers knocked off Cascade and Dyersville Beckman to reach the sub-state game for the first time since 1992.
A list of Panther awards follows.
