Berndes Center announces policies
The Monticello Parks and Recreation Department has announced its policies regarding the Monticello Berndes Center, put into effect after a proclamation by Gov. Kim Reynolds Nov. 16.
The Berndes Center policies, announced by Parks and Recreation director Jacob Oswald, will be in place until at least 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.
• No youth/adult activities. This would include, but not be limited to, department programs, senior sit-fit classes, open gyms/practices, tennis and pickleball.
Drop-ins will be allowed, but limited to the following:
• Walking.
• No more than two people to a basket, unless from the same household.
• No more than 12 people in the gym at a given time.
• No pick-up games.
• Must bring own equipment.
• All who enter facility will be required to wear a mask.
All rentals will be rescheduled or cancelled.
Facility hours will be limited to Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
