Burrack, Oberfoell win football contests

     Cole Burrack of Martelle and Janet Oberfoell of Monticello are the winners of the Express football contests for weeks two and three.

     Burrack missed only two games and correctly guessed the tie-breaker (TB) score of 61 points, good for $15. Placing second was Justin Bader of Anamosa who also missed two games. Bader’s TB score was 56. Bader wins $10 for his effort.

     One other contestant missed two games, Zach Chapman of Monticello. Chapman’s TB score was 49.

     Among the guest pickers, Nick Miller of Ohnward Bank & Trust missed three games. Todd Lambert of Monticello Sports missed five games. There were 61 entries in week two.

     Oberfoell was the only contestant to miss one game in week three. Oberfoell's effort was good for $15.

     Placing second was Thomas Hamilton of Olin, who missed 2 games. His TB score of 48 (42 was actual) was the difference maker. Hamilton earned $10 for his entry.

     Also missing 2 games were Cory Ranney (54) of Monticello and Dana Freese (59), also of Monticello.

     Guest pickers Brad Freese of Freese Motors missed five games, as did Jay Stover of Fareway. Two games were thrown out of week three. Starmont could not field a team against Lisbon, and hurricane Irma knocked out the Tampa Bay-Miami game. There were 55 entries.

     Winners may pick up their checks at the Express office.
