Camanche JV trips Panthers

     Monticello scored two touchdowns and had four different receivers make catches, but was unable to overcome Camanche, losing 21-12, in a junior varsity football game Sept. 16 in Camanche.

     Scoring for Monticello were Caleb Sauser on an eight-yard run, and Dylan Roher on a two-yard run. The Panther passing attack accounted for 89 yards, as Sauser completed nine of 12 passes.

     Tate Petersen caught four passes for 41 yards, Ty Jesenovec had a 25-yard reception, Eian Weber had two catches for 13 yards, and Roher had two catches for 10 yards. Sauser rushed seven times for 23 yards. Kaden Finn had 17 rushing yards, Roher had 13, and Rylan Cooper had five.

     Leading tacklers were Sauser with six, Dillon McDonald with five, Chandler Weber and Roher with four apiece. Weber also recovered a Camanche fumble.

     Monticello slipped to 2-1 on the season.
