Camp Courageous offers after-school program

     Camp Courageous will be offering after-school winter fun for area youth in kindergarten through eighth grade. There will be two weeks of school-school activities for kids in the community on Feb. 13-17 and Feb. 20-24.

     Activity time is 3:30-5:30 p.m., except the early dismissal on Feb. 22; activity time will be 2:15-5:30 p.m. There is no school on Feb. 20; activity time will be 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Camp will provide transportation from all Monticello schools and transportation back to the middle school and Shannon Elementary.

     Swimming will of offered each day and another camp activity that will vary daily. Some of the Camp’s offerings may include: adventure (rock wall climbing or rope ladder climbing aka. The Eiffel Tower), snow activities (sledding, cross country skiing, or snow shoeing, depending on the weather), Nature Center activities (pet/feed the critter, nature games), indoor playground, Camp games, bowling, and more surprises.

     The fee is $10 per child each day one signs up for “Winter Fun.” One can sign up for one day or for the entire two weeks. Feb. 22 will be $15 per child due to the early out. Feb. 20 will be $50 per child for an entire day of camp activities.
