Cedar Rapids runners win Pumpkinfest 5K

     Michael Marshall and Katie Hoffert, both of Cedar Rapids, were the male and female winners of the Pumpkinfest 5K race Oct. 5 in Anamosa.

     Marshall finished the rainy race with a time of 18 minutes, 18.19 seconds. Caleb Schewe of Monticello was second, and Daniel Finn of Anamosa finished third.

     Hoffert won the women’s division in 20:11.26, followed by Leslie Althoff and Emily Hendricks, both of Monticello.

     A total of 108 males and 174 females finished the 5K course.
