Chamber elects 2020 officers

At their Jan. 8 board meeting, the Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MACC, Inc.) elected its 2020 officers to lead the membership organization through what is shaping up to be a very busy year. The following officers will be officially introduced to the membership at the Wednesday, Jan. 29 MACC Annual Banquet & Awards Celebration: 

• President – Chris Brokaw, Edward Jones Investments 

• First Vice President – Jared Lasley, REM Electric 

• Second Vice President – Jake Thompson, Citizens State Bank 

The MACC, Inc. is a 501(c)6 membership organization representing 140-plus individuals and organizations throughout the area. It works on its members’ behalf in the areas of economic development, community development, and member services. One of its most successful endeavors is the #ShopSmart #ShopLocal Program, which annually reinvests over $20,000 into the economy through its Chamber Bucks program.

Featured speaker for the event is Bob Chiusano, a retired executive vice president and chief operating officer of Rockwell Collins, Inc., where he served in multiple leadership roles spanning his 30-year career there. He is currently the owner of RMC Consultancy, an LLC focused on leadership development and operational excellence. His message at the event will center on the theme: “Becoming All You Can Be.”
