Cleo E. Rogers

May 26, 1947 – Jan. 15, 2026

Cleo Elizabeth Rogers passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Jan. 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Calvary Cemetery in Cascade at 10:30 a.m.  A Celebration of Life service and luncheon will be held immediately afterwards at the KC Hall in Cascade.

Cleo was born on May 26, 1947, to Harvey and Louise (Caspers) Siebels in Anamosa, Iowa. She attended country schools and graduated from Anamosa High School in 1965. She worked for various companies over the years, including Cuckler Steel Span, Wears Inc. (Case IH), Fareway and retired from Maquoketa Valley Electric in 2003.

Cleo and her first spouse, Kenneth Reth, had two daughters, Kimberly and Dawn. She married Michael Rogers on Jan. 23, 1981, and they had a son, Jason.

Cleo was a wonderful mother and grandma. She treasured going to many of her grandchildren’s events and was an avid hummingbird lover, devotedly filling multiple feeders for the hummingbirds in their yard. She enjoyed reading and playing games and cards with family and friends.  In retirement, she loved traveling with her sisters and friends on day trips and longer vacations.

Those left to cherish her memories include husband Mike; daughters, Kimberly (Kent) Johnson and Dawn (Rick) Kilcoin, and son Jason (Lori) Rogers; stepchildren Tom (Lynette), Todd (Paula), Peter (Lauren), Jeff (Angie), Jerry (Tanya) Rogers and Melissa (Chad) Gunnelson; 19 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and three honorary grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Johnson and Elaine Pitz; brother Paul (Linda) Siebels; brother-in-law James Erwin; and sisters-in-laws, Sally Siebels and Jewel Rogers; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.  Cleo will be greatly missed by all.

Cleo was welcomed to heaven by her parents; brother David Siebels; sister Beverly Erwin; nephew Devin Siebels; brothers-in-laws, Leroy Johnson, Gary Pitz and George Rogers.

Cleo’s family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice and the Grand Living staff for their wonderful and loving care of Cleo in her final months.

Memorials may be made to Suncrest Hospice, Unity Point Health-Jones Regional Medical Center (to be dedicated to Cancer Research) or the Monticello food pantry.
