It is bowling season and that means it is time for Pete and I to show off our game picking skills, winner take all! (which is $1) Please do not take our picks and go online and wager your paycheck. These picks are not done by professionals and are the opinion of just us two.

Here we go (as short as I can type it up): Buffalo over Charlotte, Utah State over Kent State, San Diego State over Central Michigan. Georgia Southern tastes victory over Liberty. SMU over Florida Atlantic but Florida International beats Arkansas State and Boise State beats Washington.

ABU wins the New Orleans Bowl. Central Florida wins the Gasparilla Bowl, whatever that is, and I am picking the visitors, BYU over Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl. Miami of Florida will win as well, in the Independence Bowl.

It’s Pitt over Eastern Michigan, North Carolina over Temple, no relation to Pete Temple and Wake Forest over Michigan State in the Pinstripe Bowl, my least favorite bowl of them all.

I’ll take Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl. The Hawks prevail in the Holiday Bowl, making the holidays extra special. Washington State wins the Cheez-It Bowl, I like Cheez-Its! Notre Dame beats ISU although I am pulling for the Cyclones as I have a disdain for the Golden Domers! Penn State keeps the Big Ten alive over Memphis.

Now let us divert to the college football playoffs LSU beats Oklahoma and Ohio State beats Clemson. LSU will be your national champs.

Back to more bowls, Western Kentucky keeps the state of Michigan winless, beating Western Michigan. California takes out Big Ten opponent Illinois. I’m taking Louisville, Florida and Kentucky. Arizona State beats coachless Florida State. Kansas State beats Navy. Wyoming wins the Arizona Bowl. Arizona Bowl?

It’s Utah over Texas in the Alamo Bowl. Alabama over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl and Auburn over Minnesota in the Outback Canoe Bowl. Wisconsin runs over Oregon in the granddaddy of them all, the Rose Bowl. Georgia will win the Sugar Bowl and Cincinnati will win over BC.

Rounding out the last of the bowl season, Indiana will beat the Tennessee Vols, Ohio wins the Idaho Potato Bowl, I’m picking Tulane and THE Miami of Ohio.

Wow, I am glad that is done, bowl season just seems to keep getting bigger. If your team didn’t make one, they must not be very good this year.
