Community supports Lions blood drive

To the Editor and Monticello community, 

The Monticello Lions Club would like to thank the Monticello community and neighboring communities for supporting the Red Cross blood drive, which was held on Tuesday, Sept. 17. 

We collected 56 units of blood from 50 presenting donors. 

We would also like to thank the Monticello Fareway store for donating the juice and ice, Monticello Rotary for the use of their street signs, the local churches, businesses, factories, and the Monticello Express for helping the Lions promote the blood drive. 

Thanks to everyone who donated blood; your contribution was appreciated.
