Couple exchange vows

      Molly and Tom Vanderboom of Lake City, Minn., exchanged wedding vows on September 2, 2017 during a 3 p.m. ceremony at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello, officiated by Pastor Dave Raemisch.

      The bride is the daughter of David P. and Sherri Plueger of Monticello. 

      Her grandparents are Luverne and Anne Marie Plueger of Monticello and June Smothers and the late William Smothers of Martelle.

      The groom is the son of Thomas and Ellen Vanderboom of Marshfield, Wis.

      His grandparents are William Webb and the late Elizabeth Webb of Milwaukee, Wis. And the late Edward and Gretchen Vanderboom of Milwaukee, Wis.

      Music was provided by Marty Scharff, organist, and Mr. William Dwyer, vocalist, cousin of the groom.

      Kyle Vanderboom, son of the couple, served as Best Man.

      A reception, dinner and dance was held following the ceremony at Grand River Center in Dubuque. 

      The bride is a 2004 graduate of Monticello High School. She received her bachelors degree at the University of Northern Iowa and her masters degree at Auburn University.

      She is employed at Olmsted Medical Center Sports Medicine Athletic Performance  as an Athletic Trainer.

      The groom is a 1998 graduate of Pius XI in Milwaukee, Wis.

      He is employed at OEM Fabricators as a Facilities Manager.
