Couple exchange vows

      Monticello native Thomas Picray was wed to Sheila Ausbrooks on Saturday Dec. 9. 

      Sheila grew up in suburban Indianapolis. The 11 a.m. ceremony was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines. Reception followed at the Scottish Rite Consistory in Des Moines.

      They originally met in California 34 years ago while both serving in the US Marines. Thomas is a 1983 graduate from MHS and works as a computer consultant for Iowa Workforce Development in Des Moines. Sheila reads to the blind by radio broadcast.

      The couple now resides in Urbandale.
