Couple exchanges vows on July 4


Samantha and Justin

      Samantha of DeWitt and Justin of Des Moines, exchanged wedding vows July 4, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove, officiated by Rev. Paul Connolly.

      The bride is the daughter of Francis and Jackie of DeWitt. Her grandparents are Jim and Jo Anne Ricklefs of Monticello and the late Francis and Elma.

      The groom is the son of Rick and Linda of Calamus. His grandparents are Maria of Davenport and the late Jack and Johnny and Elizabeth.

      Music was provided by Sally Schulz, organist and Raeleigh Tripp, cellist. Selections included Canon in D and Thousand Years.

      The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.

      Maid of honor was Emily. Bridesmaids were Shelby, Susie, Stephanie, Schyler and Amanda. Nicole was flower girl

      JJ served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Matthew, Nicholas, Justin, Trevor and Travis. Ring bearers were William, Mason, Henry and Knoxx.

      Ushers were  Daniel, Kory and Matthew.  

      A reception was held following the ceremony at The Vista Grande. 

      For the couple's honeymoon, they travelled to Punta Cana.

      The bride is a 2014 graduate of Central DeWitt High School. She received her BA from the University of Iowa and her MA from the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed by Orchard Place.

      The groom is a 2015 graduate of Calamus-Wheatland High School. He received his BA from Coe College and is employed as a CPA at Ernst & Young.
