Court Proceedings

• Levi Allen Miller, of Anamosa, was found by the court to have violated a no-contact order and sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for time served. An additional charge of domestic abuse assault-second offense was dismissed. 

• Cein Michael Lee Palecki, of Olin, was arrested July 16 in the parking lot of the Anamosa Walmart on a charge of driving while barred. Court documents state an Anamosa officer responded to a report of marijuana smoke coming from Palecki’s vehicle, at which time a records check determined Palecki was barred from driving, documents state. 

   • Charles James Ellison, of Monticello, was arrested July 19 on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief. Court documents state officers responded to a disturbance call in the 17000 block of 175th Street where Ellison was “throwing things all over the house and (possibly) intoxicated.” 

• Amy Leigh Bunn, of Center Junction, pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a no-contact order. Bunn was sentenced to seven days in jail. 

•Camden Ogren McCollaugh, of Dubuque, was arrested July 17 at the Jones County Fairgrounds on a charge of public intoxication. Court documents state McCollaugh urinated on a woman’s leg while standing in a crowd. Deputies noted McCollaugh showed signs of intoxication, documents state.

• Keegan Thomas Vaughn, of Davenport, was arrested July 20 at the Jones County Fairgrounds on charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts. Court documents state Vaughn was standing with a group of people in the midway when he was approached by law enforcement. Vaughn was trying to start a physical altercation with other fair attendees, court documents state, and became agitated and resisted law enforcement officers. Vaughn displayed signs of intoxication, and a preliminary breath test resulted in a reading about .08, documents state. 

• Kendal James Honts, of Muscatine, was arrested July 19 at the Jones County Fairgrounds on a charge of public intoxication. Court documents state Honts approached Iowa State Troopers and interrupted a conversation, tried to tell a joke and “demanded” the troopers shake his hand, documents state. “Honts was told to leave as he was obviously intoxicated. Honts began to spew insults as he walked away,” a deputy reported. Honts showed signs of intoxication and was taken to an EMT trailer, where a preliminary breath test showed Honts to have a breath alcohol content of .167%, charging documents state. 

• Addyson Lynn Shackleford, of Denmark, Iowa, was arrested July 20 at the Jones County Fairgrounds on a charge of disorderly conduct. Court documents state Shackleford assaulted another female by slamming her head into the ground. 

• Keegan Matthew Schaffer, of Shellsburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of public intoxication and was fined $105 plus court costs. 

• Mason Kahyle Mullen, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to a charge of public intoxication and was fined $105 plus court costs. 

• Madalyn Mae Hinz, of Monticello, pleaded guilty to a charge of OWI first offense and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 56 days suspended. Hinz was also placed on probation for one year and fined $1,250. 

• Andrew David Jamison, of Anamosa, was arrested July 19 on Circle Drive in Anamosa on a charge of OWI second offense. Court documents state Jamison crossed the center line while driving and struck a vehicle whose driver required transport to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Jamison showed signs of intoxication, and his blood alcohol content was .144, charging documents state.
