DANCE

     The Monticello High School dance team, and Monticello Club Dance, competed in the University of Iowa Spirit Spectacular Oct. 20-21 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.

     MCD took first lace in the Junior High Pom category.

     For the MHS team, Monticello took first place in Small Varsity Jazz and second in Small Varsity Pom.

     In high school solo events, Ally Bartachek was sixth out of 18 entries in the freshman category. In the sophomore category, with 21 competitors, Anisa Krouse was fourth, Madisan Birt sixth, and Emma Brighton ninth.

     The high school team is coached by Amanda Hackney. MCD is coached by Hackney, Kate Tuetken and Melissa Davis.
