David C. Swim Sept. 29, 1946 – Nov. 24, 2020

      David C Swim, 74, of Monticello, Iowa passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. There will be no service at this time.

      Dave was born on Sept. 29, 1946 to Merritt and Jeanette (Egeland) Swim. He graduated from Monticello High School and served his country in the military during the Vietnam War. He lived in Texas for many years before returning to Iowa.

      Dave is survived by his wife, Liz, son Brian (Leigh) Swim of Chicago, Ill., daughter Celeste (Tim) Simon of San Antonio, Texas. five grandchildren, Zac, Carter and Hayden Swim and Chance and Harper Simon. He is also survived by his brother Steve and nephew Jason, niece Michelle and their families. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roger.

      The family would like to thank the staff at the Monticello Nursing & Rehab Center for their kind and compassionate care of Dave over the last two years and especially during his battle with COVID-19.
