District Court

     Haylie Kayleen Johnson, Morley, pleaded guilty to credit card fraud. Judgment was deferred, and she was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Johnson was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $625 plus court costs, and victim restitution.

     Freddy Steven Shover, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of possession of marijuana 2nd offense. He was sentenced to one year in jail, and fined $315 plus court costs. The sentence was suspended, and Shover was placed on probation for one year. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Timothy Scott Kruger, Jr., Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to 1st degree theft. A jury trial is set for April 23.

     Heather Joanna Calhoon, Monticello, was charged with possessing contraband on/in grounds of correctional facility. An arraignment is set for Feb. 18.

     Cory John Onken, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to driving while license denied/revoked and two counts of possession of marijuana. A jury trial is set for March 19. Onken also pleaded guilty to domestic abuse assault-injury/mental illness 1st offense. A jury trial is set for March 26.

     Hendrick Willem Lock, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for March 26.

     Dakota James Parker, Oxford Junction, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for March 26.

     Rodney Lee Smith, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of simple assault. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

     Alexis Renee Heeren, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for April 23.

     Elmer Adrian Gonzalez, Cascade, pleaded not guilty to driving while license denied/revoked. A jury trial is set for April 23.

     Jason R. Karimi, Ames, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for March 26.

     Joshua Allen Hinrichsen, Monticello, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. He was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,250 plus court costs, and victim restitution.

     Valerie Leeann Keppel, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense, possession of marijuana 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine) 1st offense, and possession of a controlled substance (dextroamphetamine) 1st offense. A jury trial is set for April 23.

     Donald Eric Schultz, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for April 23.

     James Mitchell McLaughlin, Monticello, was arrested for OWI 1st offense. No court date was set.
