District Court

     Shane Kenneth Ness, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of assault causing bodily injury. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $500 plus court costs.

     James Frank Mai, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to driving while barred. A jury trial is set for June 16.

     August Loren Holthais, Jr., Anamosa, was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury. A preliminary hearing is set for March 25.

     Jasmin Nicole McGee, no address given, was cited for two counts of child endangerment. A court date is set for April 8.

     Juan Genaro Capetillo, Cedar Rapids, was found to be in contempt. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, and fined court costs.

     Rebekah Lynne McWherter, Des Moines, was charged with 3rd degree burglary. A preliminary hearing is set for March 25.

     Anna L. Coonrod, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to forgery. A jury trial is set for May 19.

     Brandon Jo Fort, Center Point, was charged with 2nd degree theft-motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent. A preliminary hearing is set for April 6.

     Edward John Meyers, Monticello, pleaded guilty to 5th degree theft. He was fined $65 plus court costs, and ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Cassandra Marie Luzum, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of 5th degree theft. She was fined $65 plus court costs.

     Jesse Daniel Bauer, Filley, Neb., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, to be served in the Saline County, Neb., Jail, and fined $315 plus court costs.

     Donald Floyd Dusenberry, Durant, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine 1st offense and OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined a total of $1,565 plus court costs. Twenty-eight days were suspended, and Dusenberry was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Valerie Leeann Keppel, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined $315 plus court costs. All but seven days were suspended, and Keppel was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Nichole Dianne Matthess, Olin, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined $315 plus court costs. All but three days were suspended, and Matthess was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Nyssa Joy Goeres, Lodi, Wis., was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense. No court date was set.

     Brad Allan Levsen, Anamosa, was charged with domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. An arraignment is set for June 1.

     Kent Larry Streicher, Mount Vernon, was found guilty of OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to two days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs.

     Megan Marie Martin, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to OWI 3rd offense, driving while barred, driving while license denied/revoked, and possession of methamphetamine 1st offense. A jury trial is set for June 16.

     Kaylene Jean Pierson-Lilly, Marion, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for March 15.

     Christopher John Larson, Anamosa, was cited for OWI 3rd offense. A court date is set for March 18.

     Marie Ann Zirkelbach, Cascade, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for April 1.
