District Court

     Mathew Kenneth Koob, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine 1st offense and assault causing bodily injury. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined a total of $630 plus court costs.

     Kyle Brandon Orcutt, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of burglar’s tools. A jury trial is set for May 12.

     Perry DeLynn Knapp, Sr., Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor, child endangerment, incest, four counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse, two counts of lascivious acts with a child, and seven counts of purchasing/possessing depictions of a minor is sex act 1st offense. A jury trial is set for June 16.

     Jeffery Marcellinus Friis, Oelwein, was charged with possession of methamphetamine 3rd offense and OWI 2nd offense. An arraignment is set for April 27.

     Samantha Jean Lewis, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to possession of Adderall. Judgment was deferred, and she was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. She was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $315 plus court costs.

     Jack C. Russell, Madison, Wis., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. He was also fined $315 plus court costs.

     Hannah Jo Bonifazi King, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. A jury trial is set for June 16.

     David Mitchell Secrist, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for July 7.

     Waqar Shahid, Monticello, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs. All but two days were suspended, and Shahid was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.

     Keirston Free Peterson, Lisbon, pleaded not guilty to OWI 2nd offense and driving while barred. A jury trial is set for July 7.

     Kaylene Jean Pierson-Lilly, Marion, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. No court date was set.

     Marie Ann Zirkelbach, Cascade, pleaded not guilty to OWI 1st offense. A jury trial is set for July 7.

     Monty DeWayne Mulnix, Central City, was charged with OWI 3rd offense. An arraignment is set for April 27.

     Joseph Matthias Kouba, Wyoming, was charged with OWI 1st offense. An arraignment is set for May 4.
