District Court

     Jason Allen Hand, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, 3rd degree criminal mischief, and domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for May 4.

     David John Childers, Monticello, was charged with child endangerment. An arraignment is set for Feb. 8.

     Jordan Lee Jaeger, Marion, was charged with possession of burglar’s tools. An arraignment is set for Feb. 22.

     Cassandra Marie Luzum, Cedar Rapids, was charged with possession of burglar’s tools. An arraignment is set for Feb. 22.

     David Allen Holub, Sr., Anamosa, had two counts of assault on persons in certain occupations-using/displaying weapon, dismissed. (The dismissal of charges was due to the defendant’s passing.)

     Angel Eduardo Nunez, Cascade, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of assault with intent to inflict serious injury. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined $855 plus court costs. Nunez was also ordered to pay victim restitution in the amount of $4,622.

     Shawn Yamon Flowers, Anamosa, was charged with OWI 2nd offense and possession of marijuana 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 27.

     Cory John Onken, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to assault. He was fined $65 plus court costs.

     Priyanka D. Patel, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and she was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. Patel was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $430 plus court costs.

     Dillon James Allen Abbott, Marion, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense and OWI 1st offense. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. Abbott was ordered to pay civil penalties totaling $1,680 plus court costs.

     Ryan Marshall Thomas Streets, Wyoming, pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree harassment. A jury trial is set for May 4.

     Blake Tyler Vanourney, Marion, was cited for possession of marijuana 1st offense. A court date is set for Feb. 3.

     Sierra Sue Ralston, Onslow, was charged with three counts of assault on persons in certain occupations. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 22.

     William Charles Burton, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to carrying weapons while intoxicated and OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and fined a total of $1,680 plus court costs. All but 10 days were suspended, and Burton was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
