Huberto Padilla Varela, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of acetametaphine, possession of lorazepam, and two counts of child endangerment. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail for four of the six charges. He was also sentenced to two years in for the two charges of child endangerment. Varela’s prison sentence was suspended, and was placed on supervised probation for one year. He was fined a total of $2,510 plus court costs.
Jack Thomas Larrimore, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving while barred. A jury trial is set for Nov. 9.
Robert Allen Coker II, Clarence, pleaded not guilty to sex offender-registration violation 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 9.
James T. Clark, Mediapolis, pleaded not guilty to sex offender-verification violation 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Oct. 5.
Dalton Allan Dague, Olin, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault-impeding the flow of air/blood. A jury trial is set for Oct. 5.
Kelly Marie Lloyd, Monticello, was charged with possession of marijuana 3rd offense. An arraignment is set for Aug. 16.
Jasmine Frantz, Anamosa, was charged with assault on a peace officer causing injury and interference with official acts causing injury. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 18.
Levi Daniel Crinigan, Central City, pleaded not guilty to gathering where controlled substances are used, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of methamphetamine 1st offense, and possession of marijuana 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
Martin Joseph Payton, Monticello, was charged with 2nd degree theft, 3rd degree theft, and four counts of forgery. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 16.
Dustin Donald Harms, Olin, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine 3rd offense and possession of marijuana 3rd offense. No court date was set.
Phillip David Galloway, Mechanicsville, pleaded guilty to driving while license denied/revoked. He was fined $1,000 plus court costs.
Katrina Anne Engelbart, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault-injury/mental illness. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
Chaim Alexander Nielson, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to domestic abuse assault 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
Allen Daniel Phelps, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to possession/carrying generous weapons while under the influence. A jury trial is set for Nov. 30.
Hannah Rose Peterson, Minneapolis, Minn., pleaded not guilty to assault on persons in certain occupations. A jury trial is set for Nov. 9.
Dana Jean Sparks, Clinton, was charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 18.
Kira Ann Hacker, Clarence, was cited for possession of marijuana 1st offense. A court date is set for Sept. 8.
Trinity David Brown, Hopkinton, was cited for assault causing bodily injury/mental illness. A court date is set for Aug. 25.
Jeffrey Jay Brenneman, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to OWI 1st offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined $1,250 plus court costs. Twenty-wight days were suspended, and he was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.
Michael Lee Curley, Maquoketa, pleaded guilty to OWI 2nd offense. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $1,875 plus court costs. His sentence was suspended, with the exception of seven days in jail. He was placed on self-supervised probation for two years.
Kandee Kay Simmons, Anamosa, pleaded not guilty to OWI 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Sept. 28.
Benjamin Jordan Carstensen, Wyoming, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 18.
